What if I don't have enough work for a month?
Up to 20% of your unused hours roll over to the next month. After that they reset. If you find yourself consistently under 50% for two months, we'll suggest a downgrade or a pause so you're not paying for capacity you don't need.
What if I need more hours than my tier?
Overage hours are billed at $20/hr. If you go over regularly, upgrading to the next tier is usually cheaper: overage rates are a slight premium so the tier hours become the better deal past a certain point.
Who actually does the work?
A team of specialists Paul has worked with for years, each strong in specific skill areas. Paul plans the work, delegates to the right person, and reviews the output before it reaches you. As team members earn autonomy, they take on their own client comms.
Can I pause my retainer?
Yes. Pause with 15 days notice, keep your rate locked in for 90 days, and pick back up whenever you're ready.
Can I cancel?
Yes, with 30 days notice. We'll spend that time exporting everything you need, handing back credentials, and writing a handoff doc so your ops don't stall.
What's the difference between a retainer and an add-on?
Retainer = pooled hours of ongoing specialist work across all skill areas. Add-on = one-time productized project with a fixed scope and price (Notion build, website, LinkedIn setup, etc.). Retainer clients get 15% off any add-on and priority scheduling.
What happens to my Notion setup if I offboard?
Anything we built for you as a custom add-on transfers to your Notion workspace directly. The basic client-portal template we use to run your engagement is our internal template, but you get exports (Google Docs, PDFs, CSVs) of anything inside it that's yours.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, standard mutual NDAs are fine. Send yours or we'll send ours.
How do you handle skill areas you don't currently offer?
We're honest about it. If your need is outside our stack, we'll tell you, and where useful we'll help you find and vet a specialist even though it isn't billed. Referrals over pretending.
Can we hire someone from your team full-time?
Two paths. If a Runwell team member has been on your account for 3–6 months and you want them dedicated full-time, we offer a Dedicated Operator setup: they stay on Runwell payroll, you pay a flat monthly rate. If you want to hire directly into your own company, we can source and vet candidates for a one-time placement fee.
